Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Comuvi (operated by Craft Lab, SLU) uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser localStorage. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Comuvi is a web application that primarily uses localStorage (a browser-based storage mechanism) rather than traditional HTTP cookies. localStorage data is not sent to the server with every request — it is only read by client-side JavaScript when needed.

2. What We Use

2.1 Technical / Strictly Necessary Storage

These are essential for the application to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

KeyTypePurposeDuration
comuvi.session.v2localStorageStores the authentication token, user profile, community memberships, and active community ID. Required to keep you logged in.Until logout or session expiry (default 90 days, configurable by community board)
comuvi.themelocalStorageStores your theme preference (light/dark/auto).Persistent until cleared
comuvi_langlocalStorageStores your language preference.Persistent until cleared
comuvi_dashboardlocalStorageStores your dashboard layout configuration (widget order, visibility).Persistent until cleared
cookies_consentlocalStorageRecords whether you have accepted or rejected the cookie banner.Persistent until cleared

2.2 Advertising Cookies

We do not use any advertising cookies. Comuvi does not serve ads and does not participate in any advertising network.

2.3 Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Our marketing website (comuvi.app) uses Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-C3J260F56K) to understand how visitors interact with our landing pages. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and referral source.

Analytics is only activated if you accept cookies via the cookie consent banner. If you reject cookies, Google Analytics does not load and no tracking data is collected. We use Google's Consent Mode v2 to enforce this.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Note: The Comuvi application (my.comuvi.app) does not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking.

2.4 Advertising Cookies

We do not use any advertising cookies. Comuvi does not serve ads and does not participate in any advertising network.

2.5 Stripe (Payment Pages)

When you proceed to a payment flow, Stripe may set its own cookies in order to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy and are strictly necessary for payment processing (PCI DSS compliance).

3. Service Worker

Comuvi registers a Service Worker (sw.js) for handling push notifications. The Service Worker does not store personal data — it listens for incoming push events and displays browser notifications. The push subscription itself is stored server-side and linked to your account.

4. How to Manage or Delete Stored Data

You can view, modify, or delete localStorage data at any time through your browser's developer tools:

  • Chrome / Edge: F12 > Application > Local Storage
  • Firefox: F12 > Storage > Local Storage
  • Safari: Develop > Show Web Inspector > Storage

You can also clear all site data by going to your browser settings and clearing data for my.comuvi.app or comuvi.app. Note that clearing session data will log you out of Comuvi.

To unsubscribe from push notifications, go to your browser's notification settings and revoke permission for the Comuvi domain, or disable notifications from within the Comuvi app (Profile > Notifications).

5. Your Consent

When you first visit the Comuvi landing page, a cookie banner asks for your consent. Strictly necessary storage (session, theme, language) is used regardless of your choice because it is required for the service to function. Since we do not use non-essential cookies, accepting or rejecting the banner has the same practical effect — your preference is recorded in cookies_consent.

In line with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) guidance, the consent provided is valid for a maximum of 24 months; after this period we will request your consent again. The banner will also reappear if we introduce new technologies or substantially change the purposes.

6. Withdrawing Your Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time. To do so:

  • Delete the cookies_consent entry in your browser's localStorage (DevTools → Application → Local Storage → comuvi.app) and reload the page: the banner will reappear so you can change your choice.
  • Or clear all site data and cookies for comuvi.app from your browser's privacy settings. This will also log you out.
  • For Google Analytics specifically, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at browser-level globally.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new storage mechanisms or third-party integrations. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will display the cookie banner again to obtain your updated consent.
